Dr Pam McGinnis graduated from Ross university with honors in 1993 and has been practicing emergency medicine since 1997. Interest in integrated medicine lead to certification in acupuncture. She enjoys combining eastern and western approaches both in emergency care as well as follow up eastern medicine. Away from the hospital, she and her husband spend most of their time outdoors. They enjoy motorcycles and their non human family members (dogs, cats, horses and a parrot).
Cindye has been one of our relief receptionists for 10 years. She is a life long animal lover and night owl, prompting her to jump at the chance to work nights. Her hobbies are reading, quilting and her own business where she quilts professionally and teaches quilting techniques. She is married to Allan and has 1 son, A.J. who was recently appointed to the United States Military Academy at West Point. They have 5 pets; 3 large dogs (Abby, Shimmer and Max) and 2 cats (Fey and Wicca).
Dr. Heather Egan graduated from UF College of Veterinary Medicine in 2000. She began her career volunteering at The Humane Society of Manatee county when she was 12. At 15 years of age she began working at DeSoto Animal Clinic in Bradenton until she graduated high school. Dr. Egan enjoys reading, biking and family time. She is married to Andrew and has 4 children; Mitchell (19), Madeline (7), Sophie (5) and Noah (3). She also has 4 animals: A Golden Retriever (Morgan) and 3 cats.
Dee is one of our overnight shift technicians. She is an alumnus of Michigan State University. She graduated with honor with a Bachelors of Science in Veterinary Technology and is board certified in Michigan and Florida. Her past experiences include ophthalmology clinical research technical scientist, a soft tissue and orthopedic surgical technician, and an instructor of clinical rotations at MSU College of Veterinary Medicine.
